Central Reception

It provides high-quality, professional care for patients who are expected to be hospitalized. These include patients transported by emergency medical service vehicles or patients with a sudden, serious health condition or a worsening of chronic symptoms. Patients arrive on their own or based on a referral from their primary care physician or another treating physician.

The head physician and the nurse are responsible for the department's operation from an organisational point of view. Specialist medical care is provided by physicians from individual departments according to their respective specialty (internal medicine, neurology, surgery, orthopaedics).

The order of patients is determined by the nurse in agreement with the physician, according to the patient's current condition.

The central reception area is divided into several sections, according to specialties.

  • Internal outpatient clinic
  • Neurological outpatient clinic
  • Surgical outpatient clinic

  • Expedition rooms - used for monitoring and treating patients until a decision on admission, transfer or discharge is made
